Use this submersible tubing to connect your air diffuser stations to your compressor. The tubing installs itself and stays on the bottom of the water under its own weight because the density of its material is slightly greater than the density of water. You don't need to attach bricks, rocks or pieces of metal to sink it, even when it is filled with air. The tubing is made of a composite of high density PVC that allows it to be flexible and therefore easily manipulated, all while sinking quickly to the bottom of the water. The installation of a complete aeration system has never been so simple. The self-sinking topredo® tubing is offered in sizes of 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1.5" in diameter, depending on the needs of air and the distance between the diffuser stations and compressors. You can easily join several sections of Torpedo™ tubing with out a problem. The tubing of a 1/2" diameter, the smallest of the three offered, has a wall at least 4mm in thickness to prevent any possibilty of perforation by debris or pointy rocks. The Torpedo™ tubing stays flexible even in very cold temperatures.
1/2" (.575" inner diameter)" torpedo™ Tubing" is a self-sinking submersible airline hose that contains no metals and sinks quickly making installations easier. From the compressor, connect this tubing to Bubble Tubing® or bottom mounted air diffusers for efficient installation of your aeration system.
- Eliminates the need for weights or external anchors.
- Rests on the bottom out of the way of swimmers and boats.
- Black color makes it invisible from the surface so your pondscape stays natural.
- More supple than most self-sinking lines so it is easier to unroll and work with.
- constructed of a high-density flexible PVC composite which allows it to be handled and installed easily.
Available in the following sizes: 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1.5" in diameter.
